TerreSculptor HMES TerreSculptor HMES (Heightmap Editing Software) is the heightmap creation, editing and conversion software currently under development by LCS. Be sure to read the TerreSculptor Reference Manual for information on using HMES. Each beta executable file located on this page has a two-month limited run-time and will stop working once that time has expired. TerreSculptor Wiki See the TerreSculptor Wiki site for information on the following: - System Requirements - Bug List Installation The executable zip download contains the current pre-beta Professional Edition. TerreSculptor HMES is a single .exe file with no additional DLLs or files required. The single .exe is both 32-bit and 64-bit versions (JIT compiled). There is currently no setup.exe so a manual installation must be performed. 1. Create a folder in "C:\Program Files" called "TerreSculptor". 2. Extract the TerreSculptor Pro.exe file from the zip file to this folder. 3. Right-click on the .exe file and choose "Pin to Start Menu" to create a shortcut. 4. Extract the TerreSculptor Reference Manual.pdf file from the zip file to this folder. If you receive a Windows Security pop-up dialog when you run the software, right-click on the .exe file, choose Properties on the context menu, and on the Properties dialog click on the Unblock button. HMES makes no changes to the system registry and creates only a single HMES.ini file in the folder "C:\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\HMES\". The additional content files for samples and backdrops may be extracted to any folder, such as My Documents, or any data drive on the computer. Feedback and Issue Reporting At this time, please do not send emails to LCS regarding any pre-beta issues. We are working hard at getting this software into the beta phase, and answering dozens of emails takes us away from doing that. When the software reaches the beta phase, discussions will be available on the software wiki site, and online forums will also be made available soon. This is incomplete unfinished pre-beta software that contains sections that are not currently working and may contain issues and bugs. Downloads New beta downloads will be available every one to two months depending on the application sections that are currently being developed. The current beta .exe expires on October 01, 2012. Left-Click to download, or Right-Click and Save As to download.
