Unreal Tournament 2004 map #13


The first discovery of naturally breeding prehistoric reptiles on Tanjung Island prompted the development of the Dinosaur Observation Facility.  It is now long deserted since the scientists underestimated the ferocity of the numerous species living there.   After the dinosaurs escaped and mutilated the entire team, the island was left abandoned and marked as a no-contact zone.

The theme behind this map is a Jurassic Park style look and feel.  This map was designed and developed to be played with the Jurassic Rage UT2004 Mod.  The overall game play is similar to UT2004 maps such as DM-Antalus but with a more complex and detailed environment and layout.

Description Deathmatch on a deserted island facility.
Design The design of this map is based on a Jurassic Park theme with multiple location on the map for confrontation.   The total play area is about twice that of Antalus.
Features - almost entirely custom high-quality modelled staticmeshes
- staticmesh lightmaps including scene-correct with proxy mesh renders
- active environment including moving objects, animated canvas, and more
- plenty of custom scripts, sounds, staticmeshes, and textures
- realistic high resolution terrain with multiple textures
- custom in-house developed software was used in making the terrain
- plenty of shader textures and texture effects
- custom scripted audio effects

Notes - Due to the very high amount of detail a high-end computer is recommended.  Minimum recommended system is a P4-2.6 with ATI X800Pro.
Average recommended system is a P4-3.2HT with ATI X1950Pro.
- All Unreal II content in this map was converted by me.
- Four software applications were used in the creation of this terrain including custom in-house developed software.
- Server admins may remove the screenshots from the zip for a smaller server-push map file.

Map Specifics:

- Weapon loadout: Assault, Bio, Flack, Mini, Link, Grenade, Shock, Rocket, Sniper.   Plus extra ammo packs.
- Health, Shield, SuperHealth and SuperShield are available on the map.
- The Double-Damage is on the map.
- Custom SuperAdrenaline and MegaAdrenaline are on the map.
- Redeemer and Bomber Painter are on the map.
Bugs - Bots sometimes stick on the High-Hide ladders.
