Decades after the final nuclear war of mankind, when the wind of time has carried away the
dust of destruction, the unfortunate few who remain are forever imprisoned in a battle of
death... Welcome to the island...

Battle for the opposing
team flag on a massive post-nuclear island.
The only things to survive this final war are the few battling humanoids, insects,
styrofoam, and disco music by the BeeGees... |
| Design |
This map was originally
designed for a custom game type, but was released as an ONS and VCTF also since it suited
those styles of play. The design goal was to create a large post-nuclear map with a
darker and more ominous feel. As with all of my maps, a lot of time was spent
creating custom textures, staticmeshes, sounds, emitters, and detail. |

| Notes |
This is a highly detailed
and large map with many emitters, textures and sound effects, so you will require a
high-end computer.
Recommended minimum system: P4-2GHz, 1GB RAM, ATI Radeon 9600 Pro.
Included in the zip file is the Map and Readme files. Copy the map to the UT2004
Maps folder.
For low end systems, set the UT2004 World Detail to Low to remove many of the emitters and
increase your framerate. To see all of the detail, you will have to set the UT2004
World Detail to High. |
| Bugs |
- Two missing ref textures
in one of the retail UT2004 packages. This has no effect on the map's playability.
- HighRadiation area surrounding the island also absorbs the Redeemers etc. |
