System Requirements
The minimum system requirements for gaming with Unreal Tournament 3, or most Unreal Engine
3 based games, is as follows:
- Windows XP SP2 or Vista SP1, 32-bit or 64-bit
- 2.0GHz single core processor
- 512MB RAM
- NVidia 6200 series or ATI 9600 series Video Adapter
Note that there are various issues and limitations on using the older Shader Model 2 (SM2)
Video Adapters.
Be aware that the minimum system requirements for using the Unreal Engine 3 Editor are
substantially higher than the game requirements. This is for a variety of reasons,
including the ability to view the map development at full highest quality, the ability to
load a large number of assets such as textures and staticmeshes, the ability to have
multiple rendering viewports, plus the fact that the editor displays more 3d information
than what is shown in-game such as collision hulls and game actors.
- Windows XP SP2 or Vista SP1, 32-bit or 64-bit
- Dual or Quad core processor, note that the P4-D has lower performance than the Core2Duo
- 3GB RAM
- NVidia 8000 series or ATI HD3000 series Video Adapter
The editor has been compiled using the /LARGEADDRESSAWARE flag, so 64-bit systems can get
up to 4GB user RAM application support with the editor.
